Amazing hieroglyphics in an Egyptian temple seem to depict ancient light bulbs. Could this be proof that the Ark of the Covenant produced electric power?
For all updates on the progress of my first CD album, \"KING DAVID\'S LYRE; ECHOES OF ANCIENT ISRAEL\", please visit my Myspace website :http://www.myspace.com/jubalslyre An ancient Egyptian melody, from about 1400BC!! It was deciphered from illustrations on a tomb painting of a Banquet Scene found at Thebes - the specific hand gestures of the individuals depicted in this scene were found to be an example of an ancient system of musical notation often used in antiquity, called called \"Chironomy\"; this is a system of hand gestures which were used, to denote both the pitch and ornamentation of a melody. This ancient lost art is discussed at length in this fascinating article:http://www.rakkav.com/biblemusic/pages/chironomy.htmThe Theban Banquet Scene shows a scene of four rows of seated guests preparing to attend a banquet, with the guests on the left of each row displaying these chironomy signs, depicting the melody being played by the musicians on the sitting on the right. The scale used was taken from a three-holed Egyptian vertical flute, still in a playable condition. It was also by means of deciphering the written transcriptions of another system of chironomy signs known as \"Te Amim\" which were used in ancient Israel, that Suzanne Haik-Vantoura finally deciphered the original, 3000 year old melodies attached to the Hebrew text of the Bible - which can now ALSO can be heard on another Youtube! (This fascinating channel is called \"teamim\").In my arrangement of the melody, I have used many lyre-playing techniques also used in antiquity - finger-stopping the strings & strumming rythm, using plectrum for tremelo accomaniment, glissandos and simple chordal accompaniment in the left hand, whilst the meldoy is being plucked with a plectrum in the right hand. I learnt this melody from an amazing recording, \"Music of the Ancient Sumerians, Egyptians & Greeks\", by \"The Enemble De Organographia\".Enjoy my many little musical adventures in \"Time Travel\", to the very dawn of civilization, when the Pharaohs still ruled ancient Egypt! ImmortalityDeath is not the end. It is not even the beginning. It is merely an illusion. Heaven and earth will pass away, but existence is all there is; it cannot pass away. We know not the form that we will take, but we will be transformed with the renewal of life in the ever more perfect state of spiritual evolution. Love your life, and that of every creature; hold it dear, for that, and not the vessel of clay which you perceive in the mirror, is who you really are. Know yourself and love yourself, and love the Creator with your whole being. Do this, and you will not taste death. [More] [Less]
