Hurghada the Egyptian city and the fast emerging tourist center of Red Sea was founded in the 20th century. Over the years this city has done a complete make over from a small fishing village to a complete beach destination that provides fun of various aquatic sport activities.



Hurghada is divided into three parts-Down town or El Dahar, the oldest part of the city, Sekalla the modern part and El Korra Road the most advance part of the city. Most of the hotels in the city are located in the Sekalla part of the city while El Dahar is popular for the town's largest bazaar. Restaurants, bars, shops etc are scattered all over the city.

Hurghada is mainly popular as the party town. It is not wrong to say that life begins here at night. Inspite of its vibrant nightlife Hurghada is also popular for its aquatic activities. Windsurfing, sailing, snorkeling, diving, swimming, deep-sea fishing etc. are some of the activities that Hurghada offered to its travelers. The unique underwater gardens at Hurghada are one of the finest examples of aquatic beauty all over the world. The warm water of this beach destination of Egypt provide suitable habitat for the rare species of aquatic life.

The museums at Hurghada are also the gems of this main resort of Red Sea. One of them is Marine Biology Museum that houses complete collections of flora and fauna of the Red Sea life. Islands near Hurghada are also the center of attractions for the travelers who visit Hurghada. The natural and ethnic beauty of Giftun Island will leave you exhaust as it is the best place for snorkeling in Egypt.

City's transportation is mainly controlled by the Hurghada International Airport that has regular flights from and to Cairo and various other cities of Europe.
